Jurassic Properties Cobb House Full Tour & Review
(I stayed at this property for free in return for a review, however, all opinions are my own)
Here’s my full review and tour of Cobb House in Lyme Regis, hosted by Jurassic Properties.
As a leading holiday accommodation company, Jurassic Properties host a number of beautifully renovated homes in the Dorset seaside town Lyme Regis. I was super excited when they reached out and invited me to stay in their gorgeous new ground floor property, Cobb House, which is located right by the seafront.
As this was my very first visit to Lyme Regis, I was excited to be staying right in the heart of the town and just a few minutes walk away from the beach.
While many British seaside towns have suffered from economic decline in recent years, Lyme Regis is vibrant and thriving, with a plethora of independent shops and cafes to explore. As a book lover, I was particularly keen to stop by The Lyme Regis Bookshop, which sells new books across a variety of genres.
Let’s have a look inside the newly renovated Cobb House.
With two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large open plan living space, Cobb House comfortably sleeps four people and is also dog friendly. I visited with my boyfriend and one of our friends, and we felt like we had plenty of space to get comfortable and relax.
The bedrooms themselves were lovely, with comfy beds and soft linens. Both rooms had mirrors, and I particularly liked that the twin room had its own spacious en-suite. A second bathroom is accessible from the hallway, and I was impressed that they were able to fit a full size shower inside such a compact room.
Venturing down the hallway, you’ll come across an open plan kitchen and living room, which makes it easy for groups to cook, enjoy a meal, and hang out all together. The kitchen itself is well stocked with everything that you might need during your stay. There’s an oven, hob, microwave, large fridge and plenty of countertop space, along with all of the necessary crockery and kitchen utensils.
A dining table is provided if you’d like a formal sit down dinner, although we preferred to stretch out and consume hummus and carrots on the L shaped sofa in the living room. With access to plenty of streaming platforms and TV channels, there was no shortage of content to watch while we chatted and enjoyed our food together.
A number of board games are also stocked beneath the TV, should you forget to bring your own. As an avid reader, I found that the sofa made the ideal place to curl up with a blanket and read a few chapters of my current book.
My favourite part of the property was the wooden hot tub, which is located out on the decking in the garden. This space is a real sun trap on sunny afternoons, although the tub is warm enough to enjoy even in colder weather!
Also included in the garden is a table and chairs, ideal for playing games or dining outside, as well as a shower that’s perfect for either preparing to jump in the hot tub or rinsing down dogs with muddy paws.
We spent many hours out here enjoying the warm water and chatting, wishing that we had one of our own at home. I thought that the design was really classy and a lot more aesthetically pleasing than other styles I’ve seen!
It was very reluctantly that we checked out after a short but sweet two night stay in the property, vowing to return to Lyme Regis as soon as we can.
A huge thank you to Jurassic Properties for hosting us - I’m so grateful for the opportunity to visit lovely Lyme Regis and stay in the beautiful Cobb House.
